Ltd., leading independent publisher, have announced their partnership for the launch of ‘Blue Tokai Library’. The initiative, which brings together the classic combination of books and coffee, is a step towards fostering a community of readers, even as they step out of their homes.
Since its inception, Blue Tokai has continued to work with culture at its core, across various facets like literature, music and art. With ‘Blue Tokai Library’, the brand aims to highlight Indian authors and their award-winning literature amongst coffee-lovers pan-India.

Designed as a quiet and comfortable zone, the ‘Blue Tokai Library’ is an ideal spot for customers to grab their favourite coffee and settle down with a book, or simply catch up on some work. Book-lovers will have access to over 500 books such as Driven by Vijay Lokapally, India That Is Bharat by J. Sai Deepak, Allahu Akbar by Manimugdha Sharma, Destination Wedding by Diksha Basu, How to Get Published in India by Meghna Pant, Love in the Time of Affluenza by Shunali Khullar Shroff, Essential Items by Udayan Mukherjee, Raj Kapoor by Rahul Rawail & Pranika Sharma, Cut by Sreemoyee Piu Kundu and many more titles across fiction, non-fiction and bestsellers from the house of Bloomsbury India.
At launch, the ‘Blue Tokai Library’ will find its home at Blue Tokai’s cafés at Vasant Vihar and Mehrauli in Delhi, Kala Ghoda in Mumbai, Koramangala in Bengaluru and Park Street in Kolkata, before expanding to other cities and cafés in the coming months. As part of this initiative The Blue Tokai Library will host engaging author events across its cafes on the occasion of World Book Day on April 23rd, 2022.
Last year, Blue Tokai also started an online community initiative called ‘BT Huddle’, to engage with people from all walks of life and with varied interests. These sessions featured well-known personalities like William Dalrymple, Ma Anand Sheela, Aanchal Malhotra, Kavita Puri, Aysha Tanya, Nandita Iyer and Sahar Mansoor, to name a few. ‘Blue Tokai Library’ is an offline extension of this online community, backed by an unparalleled repertoire of books by Bloomsbury India.
