EuMo DesignIntelligence marks 20 years with refreshed strategic positioning

Eumo DesignIntelligence unveils new positioning after 20 years in strategic design consulting

After two decades of designing brands, spaces, workplaces, and immersive environments for organisations, EuMo DesignIntelligence, the Mumbai-based design consultancy has unveiled its new positioning, ‘Moving the World Closer to its Ambitions’, marking the next phase of its evolution. Founded in 2005, EuMo DesignIntelligence has grown into a multidisciplinary strategic design consultancy serving organisations across sectors.

The repositioning brings into focus an idea that has progressively shaped EuMo’s 20-year journey: businesses do not experience design in silos and neither do people. A brand promise is encountered through its identity, digital interfaces, physical environments, employees and customer journeys.

EuMo has consequently built its practice around integrating these into four experience disciplines: Brand Experience (BX), Customer Experience (CX), Employee Experience (EX) and Visitor Experience (VX). Together, these capabilities enable organisations to build consistent experiences across every physical, digital and human touchpoint, from brand strategy and customer engagement to immersive experience centres and destination design.

Shanoo Bhatia, Co-Founder and Creative Director, EuMo said, “Ambition is a powerful word because it is inherently about movement. It is the distance between what an organisation is today and what it has the potential to become. Over 20 years, we have learnt that design creates its greatest value in that distance. It can align what a business believes with what its customers experience, what its people live and what the world perceives.

“Our new purpose is therefore not a departure from EuMo’s journey. It is a distillation of it. We want Design Intelligence to move beyond solving a design brief to solving for the ambition behind the brief. If design cannot move the business forward, it has stopped too soon,” Bhatia said.

One of the clearest manifestations of this approach is EuMo’s work in Experience Centres and Visitor Experience, where brand strategy, spatial storytelling, technology, content and behavioural design converge. Its portfolio includes Reliance Industries, Adhiraj Capital City, Destination Manipal, ICICI Bank and TATA Group, among others.

The firm’s spatial expertise has also evolved into EuMo Spatial, bringing its concept-first approach to hospitality, residential and experience architecture. EuMo Spatial extends the firm’s Design Intelligence philosophy into architecture, hospitality, branded environments and experiential destinations, while initiatives such as EuMo Expresso, The Bold Advantage and Amazng demonstrate how the firm is expanding Design Intelligence beyond conventional consulting into entrepreneurship, thought leadership and innovation.

Gary Grewal, Co-Founder and Director, EuMo said, “The most interesting briefs rarely arrive neatly labelled as architecture, interiors, brand or experience. They begin with an ambition: to make a destination matter, to make a workplace belong to its people, to make a visitor understand something differently or to make a brand physically felt. The moment we start dividing that ambition into disciplines, we risk diminishing it.

“EuMo Spatial is an extension of a belief we have held for years: start with the human experience and allow every design decision, from the scale of a masterplan to the detail of an object, to serve it. Our next chapter is about designing fewer boundaries and more possibilities,” Grewal added.

Since 2005, EuMo has partnered with organisations across energy, education, healthcare, banking, hospitality, technology and infrastructure, creating integrated brand experiences for clients including Tata Power, Piramal Enterprises, ICICI Bank, Reliance, Jio, Manipal Group and The Ultimate Travelling Camp. Its portfolio today spans corporate branding, customer experience, workplace transformation, visitor destinations and immersive experience centres designed to strengthen engagement, perception and business growth. Its new positioning articulates the business proposition behind that breadth: understanding an organisation’s ambition and making it visible across every physical, digital and human touchpoint.

The 20-year milestone comes with a substantial body of recognized work. EuMo’s portfolio has received 20+ national and international awards and recognitions, including Global Design Awards, India’s Best Design Awards, ReBrand 100 Global Awards, Kyoorius, Transform Asia, Lexus Design Award India, Designomics and Wolda. Recent recognition includes two Global Design Awards 2025 and an India’s Best Design Projects 2025 recognition for The Ultimate Travelling Camp’s Sawai Shivir, Ranthambore.
