District by Zomato, the going out platform, announces a first of its kind collaboration with the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) that puts consumers at the heart of heritage tourism. Through a strategic Memorandum of Understanding, District is enabling how Indians and international visitors discover and access the country’s monuments, museums, and archaeological sites.
This collaboration makes District the first lifestyle platform in India to bring heritage site bookings together with dining, entertainment, and cultural experiences. It reflects a shared commitment by District and ASI to use technology in preserving and promoting cultural legacy.
As part of the MoU, ASI’s e-ticketing system will be integrated with District’s app. Users will be able to check availability and book tickets for centrally protected monuments, museums, and archaeological sites in advance, eliminating queues, sold-out disappointments, and fragmented booking processes. By offering secure and user-friendly access to cultural landmarks, the collaboration turns heritage visits into seamless going-out experiences, similar to reserving a table at a restaurant or booking a concert ticket.

ASI spokesperson said, “In line with ASI’s commitment to making ticketing more seamless and visitor-friendly, this Memorandum of Understanding aims to enhance access, broaden booking options, and enable the wider showcasing of India’s cultural heritage.”
District users will soon be able to discover and secure access to heritage sites by searching for them on the District app.
