Anu Gupta has been elevated to the role of Chief Transformation Officer at Starbucks. She announced the change in a LinkedIn post, stating she was “grateful and energized” to continue driving impact in her new leadership position.
Gupta most recently served as Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning and Finance at Starbucks from June 2025 to May 2026, before stepping into the Chief Transformation Officer role in May 2026.
Prior to rejoining Starbucks, she held senior leadership positions across retail, consumer goods, and investment sectors, including Chief Strategy Officer at Signet Jewelers and Executive Vice President and Chief Growth Officer at Bed Bath & Beyond.
Her earlier experience includes senior roles at Target, Jyve Corporation, and strategic and operational leadership positions at firms such as The Michaels Companies and Safeway. She also serves on multiple boards, including H&R Block, where she has been a board member since 2019, and is associated with early-stage venture activity through Factory, an investment platform.
