As digital feeds become increasingly crowded, Prime Video’s ‘The Traitors Season 2’ has partnered with Inshorts for an interactive app takeover that turned the news feed into an extension of the show’s world. The campaign was built around the themes of clues, deception and intrigue.
The activation invited Inshorts users to actively search for clues within the app and uncover the campaign themselves, using interaction and audience participation as part of the brand experience.
As users swiped through news stories, animated symbols associated with the show – including its distinctive cat, dagger, cloak, shield and logo surfaced across the feed. Each symbol acted as a clue, prompting users to spot and tap it, unlocking a teaser contextually tied to that specific element.
By weaving discovery directly into the natural scrolling experience, the campaign fused interactivity and entertainment into a format that felt native to the platform rather than bolted onto it.
Rohan Dixit, Associate Director, Brand Solutions at Inshorts Group, said, “The Traitors is built on concealment, which made discovery the natural way in. We built the campaign, so it had to be found – symbols surfaced within the feed, with the story opening only when someone chose to tap. The format had to be made for the idea; a standard placement couldn’t have carried it”.
Mohammad Patel, Regional Sales Head – West, Inshorts Group, said, “Digital reach is abundant; genuine attention is not. People open Inshorts with the intent to catch up on what’s happening, so a brand arrives in a moment of active reading rather than competing for a passing glance. That environment is what lets creativity invite participation instead of interruption. This campaign was built on exactly that – an experience people had to choose to explore”.
The campaign reflects Inshorts’ broader approach to advertising: bringing together a high-quality, relevant audience, the right environment and creative ideas designed around how people naturally use the platform.
The focus is on making every impression work harder by reaching audiences that matter, in contexts they actively engage with, and using formats that give brands a stronger reason to be noticed, interacted with and remembered.
