Anjali D’Mello joins Mastercard as Director, ESEA Communications

Anjali D’Mello has joined Mastercard as Director, ESEA Communications, where she will lead communications across the company’s East Southeast Asia (ESEA) region.

Announcing the move in a LinkedIn post, D’Mello said she was excited to take on a role that combines building connections across the region’s markets with shaping Mastercard’s story and future direction alongside its leadership team.

D’Mello joins Mastercard after a five-year stint at fintech firm Nium, where she most recently served as Global Head of PR & Communications. During her tenure, she also held leadership roles including Head of PR for APAC, the Middle East and Africa, and Head of PR & Social at Instarem, Nium’s cross-border payments platform.

Prior to Nium, she was Global PR Lead at Circles.Life and Global Head of PR at blockchain and cryptocurrency company TenX. She also spent nearly four years at Lazada Group, rising from Branding and Communications Associate to Head of Branding, Social & Communications.

Earlier in her career, D’Mello held editorial, communications and marketing roles with organisations including Social@Ogilvy, Tickled Media, Cosmopolitan TV, GeckoLife and WGSN.

With experience spanning fintech, ecommerce, telecommunications, blockchain and digital communications, D’Mello brings more than a decade of expertise in public relations, corporate communications, brand strategy and reputation management to her new role at Mastercard.
