As the curtain falls on nearly a decade of Stranger Things, Samsung Electronics and Netflix are giving fans a digital way to mark the occasion. Starting Jan. 12, Samsung Galaxy users in 186 countries can download an exclusive Stranger Things theme and five wallpapers via the Galaxy Store — free for a limited time to anyone who downloads or launches the Netflix app.
Since its 2016 debut, Stranger Things has been a defining title in Netflix’s global rise, becoming a cultural phenomenon and record-breaking hit. Season 5, Part 1, released on Nov. 27, 2025, topped charts in 91 countries and amassed 59.6 million views in its first five days, the strongest opening ever for an English-language series on the platform.
The show also became the first in Netflix history to have all five seasons simultaneously in the Global Top 10, a record it held for five consecutive weeks. Samsung’s Season 5–inspired content, featuring live-action visuals from Hawkins and the Upside Down, lets fans carry the world of the series into their daily lives until Feb. 22.
Samsung and Netflix have a long-running partnership, bringing content inspired by some of the shows. The latest collaboration follows their recent partnership to offer special themes for the film KPop Demon Hunters, while the companies previously worked together to celebrate the launch of Season 4 of Stranger Things.
