The second edition of the NBA Rising Stars Invitational concluded at the OCBC Arena in Singapore, with South Korea’s Kyungbock High School and Japan’s Seika Girls’ High School emerging as champions following the multi-day youth basketball tournament.
The event featured 24 boys’ and girls’ high school teams under the age of 18 from across the Asia-Pacific region, including representatives from The Velammal International School of India, who participated in the group phases.
In the girls’ championship final, Seika Girls’ High School secured a 106–59 victory over Chinese Taipei’s Yangming High School. The boys’ championship saw Kyungbock High School defeat Japan’s Tottori Johoku High School with a final score of 82–72. The final games were attended by NBA Champion Jeremy Lin alongside other basketball professionals. The event also included a halftime musical performance by K-pop group LONGSHOT for the arena audience.
Following the placement matches, individual player accolades were distributed based on tournament statistics and performance metrics:
- Sportsmanship Award: Buba Aisha Ezzine (Seika Girls’ High School) and Wang Junzheng (Tsinghua University High School)
- Defensive Player of the Tournament: Buba Aisha Ezzine (Seika Girls’ High School) and Philemon Homtapwa Talmon (Tottori Johoku High School)
- Girls Division Finals MVP: Buba Aisha Ezzine (Seika Girls’ High School)
- Boys Division Finals MVP: Yoon Jiwon (Kyungbock High School)
