The MIX (A Mumbai Indians Experience), the fan experiential festival produced and promoted by Mumbai Indians and BookMyShow Live’s BrandLabs, concluded at full capacity, transforming a two-day celebration of sport, music and culture into a moment for fan engagement. The MIX’s Instagram handle recorded over 193 million video views.
Day 2 opened with a moment as all-rounder Hardik Pandya visited the MI Dugout, posing with his statue as the audience gathered to catch a glimpse of the player, with some receiving signed merchandise and selfies. This was followed by Pandya’s stop at the MI graffiti bus. Soon after, fans gathered for a fireside chat featuring coach Kieron Pollard and Captain Hardik Pandya.
Pandya spoke about how he was scouted by Mumbai Indians, the connection he feels with the Paltan, and the importance of working hard and chasing dreams. He referred to the Paltan as the team’s heartbeat. Pollard discussed his favourite innings for MI as well as his coaching philosophy and transition from player to coach at the #OneFamily that he has been a part of for almost two decades.
A Mumbai Indians spokesperson said, “The MIX was built with a simple intent to bring fans closer to Mumbai Indians in a way that feels real, immersive and participative. What we witnessed over the last two days was not just engagement, but genuine connection. When fans show up with that kind of energy and emotion, it reinforces that this is more than fandom – it’s family. This is the power of #OneFamily, and what makes this journey so special.”
Owen Roncon, Chief of Business – Branded IPs, BookMyShow said, “What stood out with The MIX was the way fans showed up not just for sport, but for everything that surrounds it. There is a growing appetite for experiences that bring together music, culture and community and we’re seeing fandom evolve into something far more participatory. For us, this was about creating a space where that energy could come together in a meaningful way. It reinforces the idea that the future of sport lies as much in cultural connection as it does in competition.”
The session offered fans a window into the journeys of two Mumbai Indians players. From dressing room stories and career moments to reflections and banter, the conversation set the tone for the day. When asked about a song that mirrors his journey, Hardik Pandya named DIVINE’s ‘Apna Time Aayega’. He shared how the anthem stayed with him through every low, pushing him to keep going. He reminded fans to never give up, even when the odds felt stacked against them.
As the evening progressed, music took centre stage. GauriWho performed a genre-blending sound, followed by electronic-dance artist Anyasa, who performed tracks like ‘Castles’ and ‘Metaphysical’. Electronic duo CamelPhat delivered a set featuring tracks like ‘Cola’ and ‘Panic Room’, marking the close of The MIX.
The opening inning, Day 1, began with the arrival of the Mumbai Indians players. Fans gathered to see Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Naman Dhir, Kieron Pollard, Lasith Malinga and others, as they interacted with audiences through the day.
The energy carried onto the stage with a musical line-up. Sugahunny B2B Hamshyre began the performances, while Sanju Rathod added a Marathi flavour and a surprise appearance by Hardik Pandya. DIVINE delivered a performance where fans rapped along to anthems and played Nucleya‘s ‘Bass Rani’ and ‘Scene Kya Hai’, as the Mumbai Indians squad joined the stage to meet fans before the season begins. Nucleya delivered the finale.
The MIX included an on-stage fan section for superfans. Across the grounds, the gaming truck featured console clashes and interactive games. The carnival zone included activities where fans received exclusive The MIX merchandise.
The MI Dugout offered fans a look at championship trophies, official jerseys in a locker room set-up and memorabilia. Designers provided customisable fashion staples that fused cricket culture with streetwear. Photobooths were also available throughout the venue.
The Khau Gali (F&B zone) featured Mumbai flavours and curated MIX indulgences. Sustainability was incorporated into the experience with reusable cups and free hydration stations set up throughout the venue.
