Instagram has rolled out a new set of features for Edits, its standalone video creation and editing app, aimed at helping creators expand their reach and streamline content production.
The update introduces bilingual captions, enabling creators to automatically translate captions into a secondary language. The feature is currently available in English, Indonesian, Russian, Portuguese, Gujarati, Spanish, Hindi, Korean, Bengali, German, Italian, Thai, French, Japanese and Kannada.
Instagram has also added overlay support for templates, allowing creators to build more dynamic video formats. In addition, users can now lock specific clips while editing, providing greater control and precision during the editing process.
The update also brings summer-themed sound effects, giving creators additional audio options for seasonal content.
