Developed in consultation with paediatricians and dermatologists, the Aveeno Baby Daily Moisture Cleansing Bar is formulated to provide mild cleansing with a pH of 5.5, without removing the skin’s natural moisture.
The soap-free bar uses sulfate-free, coconut-derived surfactants to create a gentle lather suitable for babies, including newborns. It is designed to help maintain the skin barrier and support hydration for sensitive skin.
According to the company, the cleansing bar has been tested in safety and efficacy studies involving newborns, babies and toddlers with sensitive skin. Unlike traditional soaps, which are typically alkaline, the formulation is designed to be milder and suitable for regular use on baby skin.
Commenting on the launch, Manoj Gadgil, Business Unit Head – Essential Health & Skin Health and VP Marketing at Kenvue, said that cases of sensitive skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis, eczema and diaper dermatitis have increased among children in recent years, leading parents to look for gentler skincare options. He added that the new cleansing bar extends Aveeno Baby’s colloidal oatmeal-based products into a bar format as part of its sensitive-skin range in India.
The product was introduced at the 63rd Annual Conference of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP-Pedicon 2026), where healthcare professionals were given an overview of Aveeno Baby’s product portfolio and its approach to infant skincare.
