Ankkush Malik has been elevated to the position of Regional Group Head at Inshorts. In his new role, he will spearhead ad sales strategy and regional growth for both Inshorts and Public App, with a focus on expanding revenue streams, strengthening brand partnerships and enhancing the group’s market presence through innovative advertising solutions.
Sharing the development on LinkedIn, Malik said, “I am excited to share a new chapter in my journey at Inshorts as I step into the role of Regional Group Head – North India!”
Reflecting on his nearly six-year tenure at the company, Malik noted that he joined Inshorts as Manager – Ad Sales before being promoted to Senior Manager and now to Regional Group Head.
He added that he had helped build and scale revenue streams across categories including automotive, retail, handsets, food and beverage, e-commerce, healthcare and IT/B2B for both Inshorts and Public App.
In his LinkedIn post, Malik also acknowledged the support of Inshorts Co-founder and CEO Deepit Purkayastha and Chief Revenue Officer Saurabh Joshi, thanking them for their guidance and encouragement throughout his journey.
Before assuming his new role, Malik served as Senior Manager at Inshorts, where he led advertising sales across Inshorts and Public App, managing key industry categories and contributing to the development of new revenue streams. Earlier, as Manager – Ad Sales, he was responsible for driving advertising revenue across sectors such as automotive, retail and handsets while expanding relationships with brands and media agencies.
Prior to joining Inshorts in 2020, Malik worked at Mediascope Representation (India) Private Limited, where he managed advertising sales and strategic brand partnerships for international digital publishers, including Reuters, The New York Times, Harvard Business Review, GSM Arena and Skyscanner. He has also held positions at Delhi School of Internet Marketing and Czone Solutions.
