Krafton India announces dual collaborations between BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA (BGMI) and two league franchises – Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
Launching before the 2026 league season, the collaborations are brought to life through two original brand films and a suite of franchise-themed in-game content arriving with the BGMI 4.3 update. The collaboration builds on BGMI’s roster of integrations, turning the interest for league cricket teams into a playable, shareable experience inside the game.
Seddharth Merrotra, Head of Business Development and Partnerships, KRAFTON India said, “Every cricket fan in India has lived a version of these stories – the chaos, the arguments, the moment the match turns and suddenly none of it matters anymore. We wanted these films to feel true to that experience, not just as a tribute to two incredible franchises, but as a genuine celebration of what Indian fandom looks and sounds like. CSK and KKR represent two very different cultures, two very different cities — but the passion is identical. And BGMI is the place where both of those worlds now come together.”
At the heart of both collaborations are two brand films – each rooted in the reality of Indian cricket fandom, telling a story that fans in the country recognize. The films can be viewed on Krafton India’s website.
The CSK film, titled ‘CSK – BGMI’il Aadu, Whistle Podu!’, follows four BGMI players from different parts of India who struggle to coordinate during a match. Their confusion disappears the moment the commentary line, ‘CSK finishes it off in style!’, echoes from their TVs.
The squad finds its rhythm as chants of ‘CSK da!’, ‘Thalaaa!’, and ‘Yellow Army!’ erupt, transforming the team’s gameplay into synchronized squad action and ending with the rallying cry, ‘BGMI’il Aadu… Whistle Podu!’
Meanwhile, the KKR film, ‘Ami Conqueror, Ami KKR’, captures four friends navigating everyday chaos before gathering for a league match. As the tension builds, the group trades KKR chants such as ‘Korbo, Lorbo, Jeetbo’ and ‘KKR hai tayyar.’
Their self-appointed hero then declares that this time no one will steal their ‘winner’s dinner,’ pulls out his phone, and the room lights up in a purple glow as BGMI x KKR items appear on screen, culminating in the collective chant, ‘Ami Conqueror… AMI KKR!’
Both films reflect a shared truth about Indian fandom – that cricket, like BGMI, has always been a language of its own.
