This episode in HealthCast on HealthBrief is from the IMA Podcast series that the podcast division of Adfactors PR created for the Indian Medical Association under the Wealth of Health podcast series, and is about the dire need to Stop Violence Against Doctors.
Two leaders of the Indian Medical Association — Dr Ravi Wankhedkar, Past National President, Indian Medical Association, and Dr Jayesh Lele, National Secretary, Indian Medical Association Hospital Board of India, discuss the terrible menace of violence against doctors, the reasons for the growth of this scourge of the medical space in India, and how it can be controlled and, hopefully, ended.
(This episode was one of five conceived, written, produced and published by Adfactors PR’s Podcasts division for the IMA podcasts series Wealth Of Health, which won multiple awards.)
Voluntary, not-for-profit body Indian Medical Association — the only representative voluntary organization of Doctors of Modern Scientific System of Medicine, and which looks after the interest of doctors as well as the well being of the community at large – had launched its podcast series, Wealth of Health, on the 26th of March on World TB Day.

And now, this forward-thinking and –acting body, which, to our mind, is probably the first representative, not-for-profit voluntary body that has launched a podcast – has released its second episode of its series.
And this, the second episode, is entitled Stop Violence Against Doctors!. It features two senior and reputed doctors — Dr Ravi Wankhedkar, Past National President, Indian Medical Association, and Dr Jayesh Lele, National Secretary, Indian Medical Association Hospital Board of India, who discuss the terrible menace of violence against doctors, the reasons for the growth of this scourge of the medical space in India, and how it can be controlled and hopefully ended.
Here are two doctors who are expert medical practitioners first, and then, equally passionate advocates of reform and better thinking and social mores against the ills and evils that beset public health and medical-practitioner safety.

Which delivers good, useful, actionable information, well presented. This, the second episode of Wealth of Health, the IMA’s Podcast series, is an excellent piece of content that should definitely help spread the word about the need to end the terrible menace of Violence Against Doctors.
As IMA National President Dr Sen says, “On behalf of the Indian Medical Association, we urge you to not only listen to, but also share our podcast episodes with doctors and other medical health professionals and members of the society.”
The Indian Medical Association is the only representative voluntary organization of Doctors of Modern Scientific System of Medicine. And what’s truly laudable, to our mind, is that the IMA is probably the first representative, not-for-profit voluntary body of its size and stature in India that has launched a podcast series.
For a body that was created way back in 1928, this is definitely an extremely progressive initiative.
