In today’s fast-paced corporate world, staying fit often takes a backseat—but it doesn’t have to. Kartik Mehta, Chief Business Officer (CBO) and Head of Asia at Channel Factory, shares how he has adapted his approach to health and fitness over the years, moving from intense gym sessions to shorter, smarter routines that fit a busy schedule. This is a story about consistency, balance, and finding ways to keep your body—and mind—moving, even when life won’t slow down. Read on.
As we grow and mature in life, one thing we all realize is health comes before everything. Some learn it quickly and some learn it in a hard way, but we all eventually do learn. A decade ago, I was all in extensive workout, lifting heavy weights, chasing muscle mass and following an intense routine.
Cut to today, in 2026, it looks different. What changed it?
Well, with growing responsibilities and an erratic travel schedule, the 2-hour gym sessions simply couldn’t survive the schedule. So, I made a conscious choice, and rather than giving up, I changed my workout routine.
From heavy lifting, I moved to lighter workouts; from long sessions, I transited to 20-minute consistent workout and from building muscle, I moved to building stamina. Today, fitness for me is a run before a flight. A cycling session between meetings or a quick workout that keeps the rhythm alive.
While I focus to build Channel Factory in Asia and scale it, I realize that a working in sync with one’s own mind and body is essential. It helps in all areas of life. It’s not always perfect. But it’s always there.
Because over time, consistency compounds more than intensity ever will. I would urge all C-Suite peers to choose fitness that fits your life today.
