Exclusive – COTT: Disney+ Hotstar, JioCinema, Netflix top OTT platforms in Wk 44’23; CWC’23, Jawan top titles

In Week 44 of 2023 (COTT Week: 29th Oct – 4th Nov 23), Disney+ Hotstar, JioCinema, and Netflix emerged as the top three OTT platforms, as reported by Chrome OTT.

During this week, the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 on Disney+ Hotstar secured the first position on the list of top shows and also stood out as the most-binged title, while Jawan, available on Netflix, claimed the top spot among movies for the week.

During Week 44, Disney+ Hotstar, JioCinema and Netflix stood as the top three OTT platforms in India. Disney+ Hotstar led the pack with a reach of 16.02%, equivalent to 80.74 million unique viewers.

JioCinema secured the second spot in this list with 22.78 million unique viewers and a reach of 4.52%.

Securing the third position, Netflix achieved a reach of 2.53%, corresponding to 12.75 million unique viewers.

The 13th edition of the Cricket World Cup, ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, on Disney+ Hotstar, was the top title with a reach of 11.00%, translating into 55.43 million unique viewers.

It was followed by Bigg Boss S17 on JioCinema, which secured the second place with a reach of 1.51%, equivalent to 7.62 million unique viewers.

Heartfelt drama series Aspirants S2, streaming on Amazon Prime Video, secured the third spot and garnered 4.32 million unique viewers, with a reach of 0.86%.

ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, on Disney+ Hotstar, was also the top-binged title this week with a reach of 7.15%, translating into 36.03 million unique viewers.

It was followed by Bigg Boss S17 on JioCinema, which secured the second place as the top-binged show with a reach of 0.83%, equivalent to 4.19 million unique viewers.

Amazon Prime Video’s Aspirants S2 secured the third spot and garnered 2.16 million unique viewers, with a reach of 0.43%.

During Week 44, the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer action thriller film Jawan on Netflix emerged as the leading movie with 3.13 million unique viewers, resulting in a reach of 0.62%.

Following closely, the Indian Malayalam-language action thriller film, King Of Kotha, streaming on Disney+ Hotstar secured the second position with 2.70 million unique viewers, resulting in a reach of 0.54%.

Securing the third spot, the Tamil-language comedy horror film Chandramukhi 2 streaming on Netflix achieved a reach of 0.48%, engaging 2.41 million unique viewers.
