Zee Telugu brought the spirit of Telangana’s Bonalu festival to life with ‘Bonala Jataraki Vastunnam’, a festive celebration held on Saturday, 8th August 2026, at the Arts and Science College Ground, Revenue Colony, Subhedari, Hanmakonda. Bringing together Zee Telugu’s stars, artists and fans, the celebration was an evening of performances, challenges, folk traditions and entries, capturing the essence of Bonalu.
The Bonalu special from Hanmakonda, ‘Bonala Jataraki Vastunnam’, will be telecast on Sunday, 16th August, at 7:00 PM, only on Zee Telugu.
The festivities kicked off at the temple, where Bhoomi and Bhavana Lasya arrived together to offer their Bonam, leading to an exchange with the priest over whose offering should take precedence. Anchor Ravi stepped in to settle the situation before taking the celebrations outdoors and setting the stage for an evening packed with entertainment.
The evening was packed with surprises and moments, including proposals for Gagan from a grandmother and a young girl in the audience. With its mix of Telangana’s cultural traditions, music, dance, humour and audience interactions, ‘Bonala Jataraki Vastunnam’ brought Zee Telugu’s stars and viewers together for a celebration of the festival.
