Meta has rolled out paid subscription plans for Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp, introducing premium features across its platforms as the company expands beyond its advertising-led business model.
The subscriptions, launched globally, include Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus at $3.99 per month, while WhatsApp Plus is priced at $2.99 per month. The company also said it is developing additional subscription offerings for creators, businesses, and artificial intelligence products.
Instagram Plus includes a range of profile and Story-related features. Subscribers can view aggregate Story rewatch data, create unlimited audience lists, extend Stories beyond 24 hours, and preview Stories anonymously. The plan also offers animated reactions, weekly spotlight options, custom app icons, personalized bio fonts, and extra profile pins.
Facebook Plus brings similar profile customization and engagement-focused tools to users.

WhatsApp Plus is centered on personalization features, including app themes, premium stickers, custom ringtones, and additional pinned chats.
The new subscriptions will operate separately from Meta Verified, the company’s existing paid verification and account protection service.
Meta also indicated plans to eventually combine its subscription offerings under a unified brand called Meta One.
The launch comes as the company continues to increase investments in artificial intelligence infrastructure and data centers, with projected annual capital expenditure estimated between $125 billion and $145 billion.
Meta had earlier introduced paid ad-free versions of Facebook and Instagram in Europe in response to European Union data privacy regulations, allowing users to choose between free ad-supported access and paid ad-free experiences.
