Digital news platform Amrit Ujala was officially launched in Kanpur, marking its entry into the digital news ecosystem with a website, mobile application and YouTube news channel. The launch was inaugurated by astrologer Pandit K. A. Dubey Padhmesh.
Speaking at the launch, Padhmesh said the initiative, founded by experienced professionals from Uttar Pradesh’s media industry, has the potential to create a strong presence in the regional news landscape.
He expressed confidence that Amrit Ujala would help bring news and developments from remote villages and smaller towns across the state to a wider audience, strengthening access to local and grassroots reporting.
Speaking at the event, Editor-in-Chief and CEO of Amrit Ujala, Dr. Akhand Pratap Singh, said that the organization’s objective is to bring news from every district, town, and village of all Hindi-speaking states of the country to the national level. He mentioned that in the first phase, the platform will focus primarily on Uttar Pradesh — particularly Central and Eastern UP. He stated that the tagline of Amrit Ujala is — Ab Sach Ki Roshni, Har Jile Mein (Now the Light of Truth, in Every District).”
Dr. Singh informed that the Amrit Ujala news app is being further upgraded and readers can download and install it from the Google Play Store. He also announced that the Amrit Ujala YouTube news channel will go live from 5th July onwards.
