ZEE5 announces the launch of its Hindi true crime docu-series ‘Honeymoon Se Hatya’, premiering on 9th January 2026. The series explores real-life cases in which wives killed their husbands and examines the circumstances surrounding these incidents.
‘Honeymoon Se Hatya’ looks beyond headlines to examine emotional, social, and psychological factors linked to marriages that began with promise but later turned violent. The series presents facts as they unfolded and aims to encourage reflection on realities within domestic relationships.
The docu-series revisits several widely discussed cases, including the Meghalaya Sonam Raja Raghuvanshi Case, the Meerut Blue Drum Case, the Bhiwani Influencer Case, the Mumbai Tile Case (Nalasopara Tile Case), and the Delhi Electric Shock Case. Using factual narration, recreations, interviews, and archival material, the series documents each case while outlining recurring patterns such as emotional trauma, control, suppression, and desperation that emerged over time.
Kaveri Das, Chief Channel Officer and TV and Business Head Hindi Z5, ZEE5 said, “With Honeymoon Se Hatya, we are expanding our documentary slate into deeper, more emotionally charged stories. In today’s rapidly evolving social landscape, understanding the pressures within marriages, has never been more important. These stories highlight the fractures that often go unnoticed until it’s too late. Viewers can expect a gripping show marked by emotional depth, realism, and insights that linger long after the story ends. Honeymoon Se Hatya is meant to provoke conversations about relationships, power, and the silent battles fought within homes.”
‘Honeymoon Se Hatya’, a true crime docu-series, will stream exclusively on ZEE5 from 9th January.
