Warner Bros. Discovery announces that its premium sports channel, Eurosport India, is set to expand its sporting portfolio with the introduction of pickleball, beginning in 2026. The move reflects Eurosport’s focus on bringing emerging global sports properties to Indian audiences through broadcast coverage.

As part of this expansion, Eurosport India will provide exclusive coverage of the World Pickleball League Season 2, scheduled to run from January 24 to February 8, 2026, at the Jio World Garden in Mumbai. The tournament will feature international players from across the globe, reflecting the sport’s growing participation and competitive presence worldwide.

Arjun Nohwar, SVP and Managing Director, India and South Asia, Warner Bros. Discovery, said, “Introducing pickleball to Eurosport India’s broadcast line-up is a natural extension of our commitment to building the next generation of sports in the country.

“Expanding on our efforts to bring marquee sports properties to fans through consistent, high-quality broadcast and storytelling, pickleball represents an exciting opportunity to engage audiences with a sport that is witnessing strong global momentum.

“Our focus is on creating long-term visibility and depth around the sport, beyond standalone events, through premium coverage and sustained fan engagement,” Nohwar said.

WPBL Season 2 is set to deliver high-energy action and a festival-like atmosphere, combining elite-level competition with mass fan appeal. Through its coverage, Eurosport India aims to showcase the speed, skill and accessibility that have contributed to pickleball’s international growth, while introducing the sport to a wider audience in the region.

Gaurav Natekar, Founder and CEO, World Pickleball League said, “The broadcast partnership with Eurosport India is a natural progression in World Pickleball League’s growth journey. It enables us to reach millions of new viewers internationally as the league continues to expand.

“Season 2 reflects how quickly the World Pickleball League has scaled into a global spectacle, with players from over 25 countries registering for the draft and representation from 18 different nations to feature this season.

“With more live matches and a significantly enhanced sportainment experience, World Pickleball League is focused on delivering long-term value for fans, players, broadcasters, partners and franchises alike,” Natekar said.

With its experience in delivering sports coverage and storytelling, Eurosport India continues to offer audiences access to a wide range of international sports properties. With WPBL Season 2 set to be hosted in Mumbai, the collaboration also highlights the city’s role as a destination for international sporting events and new-age sports entertainment.
