MX Player, Disney+Hotstar, SonyLIV are Top 3 OTT platforms in India (COTT – Wk 13/21)

MX Player, Disney+Hotstar and SonyLIV were the Top 3 OTT Platforms in Week 13 of 2021 (Mar 28 – Apr 3), per Chrome OTT’s popular list of Top 12 OTT platforms.

Week 12’s report of how the OTT Platforms acquitted themselves, the Top 10 shows across OTT Platforms, the Top 10 Binged shows, and the Top Movies is out, and reveals that MX Player‘s Hey Prabhu Season 2 secured the top spot in both the Top Show and Top Binged list.

Disney+Hotstar‘s OK computer and SonyLIV‘s Project 9191 were the second and third top shows during week 13. On the top binged list SonyLIV’s Project 9191 and Disney+Hotstar’s OK computer secured the second and third spot respectively.

Chrome OTT, which fills a major industry need-gap of credible currency for the measurement of usership metrics of the various OTT platforms that have seen a major upswing in sheer number of users and the time they spend on, with levels of engagement with, the OTT platforms, also reveals that in Week 13/21, Disney+Hotstar‘s 1232 KMS was the Top Movie.

Top 12 OTT Platforms in Week 13 2021 (Mar 28 – Apr 3)

MX Player, Disney+ Hotstar and SonyLIV were the three top OTT platforms in India. MX Player was the top OTT platform with a reach of 6.15% translating into 35.33 million unique viewers, followed by Disney+ Hotstar with 33.57 million unique viewers and a reach of 5.85%SonyLIV came in third place with a reach of 2.02% translating into 11.55 million unique viewers.

MX Player‘s Hey Prabhu Season 2 was the top show during COTT week 13/21 with 33.71 million unique viewers— a reach of 5.87%, followed by Disney+Hotstar‘s OK computer which engaged 23.39 million unique viewers— a reach of 4.08%.

SonyLIV‘s Project 9191 came in at 3rd place engaging 3.14% or 18.01 million unique viewers.

MX Player‘s Hey Prabhu Season 2 bagged the top spots in the list of top binged shows in Week 13 with 11.86 million unique viewers translating to a reach of 2.07%, followed by SonyLIV‘s Project 9191 that garnered 6.92 million unique viewers or reach of 1.21%.

Disney+ Hotstar’s OK Computer filled in the third spot with a reach of 1.06% and clocking in 6.08 million unique viewers.
