Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the entire world had to go online and make a switch to the virtual medium. As the physical landscape was off-limits, people went on social media. Businesses ramped up their websites and online marketing to capture the audience’s attention. Due to this shift to the digital channels during the pandemic, there was a significant boost to businesses like ours that specialise in providing digital marketing services.

It was a very fulfilling year as we were able to cater to a greater number of clients than we had anticipated: Amol Roy

Even for those agencies and businesses which saw a decline in revenue in the spring or whose business models are more inter-mixed between online and offline advertising, there’s still been a silver lining to 2020.

Personally, too, it was a very fulfilling year as we were able to cater to a greater number of clients than we had anticipated. We always strive to deliver client satisfaction and we can proudly say that we did that to the best of our ability this year.

2020 was full of formidable circumstances that truly tested our grit and patience. Challenges to our physical, mental well-being, work-life, productivity, and challenges to keep ourselves healthy amidst the pandemic were unprecedented.

As with everyone else, I too had my ups and downs. Sometime in between the months of April-July, we hit a rough patch but with the dedication of the entire team, we were able to steady our boat.

Looking ahead:

In 2021, I wish to take nothing for granted and live my life to the fullest extent possible. The pandemic has taught us to live life one day at a time and to cherish the relations we have in our lives as at the end of the day that is all that matters. I wish to spend more time with my family and friends, introduce certain motivational initiatives to buck up my team at the workplace.

I am a philanthropist to the core and will continue doing my bit for society. I invest in the education of young children as they are our future. Being able to educate even one child gives me immense happiness. I look forward to a year armed with the knowledge and experience of COVID-19 which the world did not see coming down the pike.

The New Year has bought hope, both in our personal and professional lives. I am certainly in a place now from where I can parlay the experience of just getting through 2020 to deal with any business and family exigencies and prepare in advance for any calamitous events in 2021.

It makes me happy to know that over time the infodemic has reduced and then it is an opportunity also for each one of us to rejoice about the concomitant decrease in the numbers reported. We can certainly look towards a healthier, virus-free year ahead.
