Disney+Hotstar, MX Player, Voot are Top 3 OTT platforms in India (COTT – Wk 15/21)

Disney+Hotstar, MX Player and Voot were the Top 3 OTT Platforms in Week 15 of 2021 (Apr 11 – Apr 17), per Chrome OTT’s popular list of Top 12 OTT platforms.

Week 15’s report of how the OTT Platforms acquitted themselves, the Top 10 shows across OTT Platforms, the Top 10 Binged shows, and the Top Movies is out, and reveals that MX Player‘s Bisaat secured the top spot in the Top Show and Top Binged list.

MX Player‘s Hey Prabhu Season 2 and Netflix‘s Queen of the South Season 5 secured the second and third spot on the Top Show List.

Queen of the South Season 5 also came in second place on the Top Binged List followed by Disney+Hotstar‘s The Nevers

Chrome OTT, which fills a major industry need-gap of credible currency for the measurement of usership metrics of the various OTT platforms that have seen a major upswing in sheer number of users and the time they spend on, with levels of engagement with, the OTT platforms, also reveals that in Week 15/21, Disney+Hotstar‘s The big bull was the Top Movie.

Top 12 OTT Platforms in Week 15 of 2021 (Apr 4 – Apr 10)

Disney+ Hotstar, MX Player and Voot were the three top OTT platforms in India. Disney+ Hotstar was the top OTT platform with a reach of 5.54% translating into 31.81 million unique viewers, followed by MX Player with 12.3 million unique viewers and a reach of 2.15%. Voot came in third place with a reach of 0.94% translating into 5.38 million unique viewers.

MX Player‘s Bisaat and Hey Prabhu! Season 2 secured the first and second spot respectively with 11.11 million unique viewers— a reach of 1.93% and 10.35 million unique viewers— a reach of 1.80% respectively.

Netflix‘s Queen of the South Season 5 came in at 3rd place engaging 9.48%  or 1.65 million unique viewers.

Top Binged Show

MX Player‘s Bisaat bagged the top spots in the list of top binged shows in Week 15 with 4.06 million unique viewers translating to a reach of 0.71%, followed by Netflix‘s Queen of the South Season 5 that garnered 2.9 million unique viewers or reach of 0.51%.

Disney+Hotstar‘s The Nevers filled in the third spot with a reach of 0.48% and clocking in 2.76 million unique viewers.
