Kamal Haasan and Sarika’s lovely daughter, actor and musician Shruti, who has been on an endorsement signing spree, has signed her 4th ‘brand-ambassadorship’ in 3 months. Word is she’s inked a deal with a chocolate brand, and has also sung the ad jingle with Shankar Ehsaan Loy – a “super high tempo” jingle, as per a reported statement from her spokesperson in a press release, which adds, “Can’t wait to see Shruti rock n roll on screen with the bar of chocolate!”
OK, the ‘literature’ aside, what’s interesting is that previous brand ambassadors of this chocolate brand include Rani Mukherjee and Sushant Singh Rajput.
Shruti, who has worked with Shankar Ehsan Loy in her previous, D Day, and also collaborated with Ehsaan and Loy on an independent single earlier this year, is a talented singer and musician herself, so jamming with them to perfect the beat and the lyrics was easy.
She recorded the song in less than two hours one evening and it blew the minds of the brand team, says the release writer, who adds, “Her look in the commercial is also completely grunge and edgy, very close to real rockstar persona.” Look at the beautiful, chic image, and you will agree that last bit, at least, was an understatement.
As for the ad jingle? Shankar Ehsan and Loy are talented, edgy craftsmen, and Shruti is definitely a livewire, so one waits for the ad film and the “super high tempo” jingle.
