Some of Bollywood’s biggest acting and music celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, A R Rehman, Pyarelal, Sonu Nigam, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit-Nene, J P Dutta, Juhi Chawla, Lalit Pandit and Rajeev Kapoor, among others, will come together to pay tribute  to the late music director Aadesh Shrivastava who, but for his tragic demise, would have been 52 this year. The stars will feature in a special documentary entitled ‘A Tribute To Aadesh Srivastava’ which the channels Hindi GEC Colors and Rishtey Cineplex will air on Saturday and Sunday, ie the 3rd and 4th of September, at 9 am.

In Bollywood, you rarely get to see the perfect amalgamation of classical music, but he (Aadesh) was one of those musicians who used to infuse his knowledge of classical music and latest trends
in his creations:

The documentary will showcase snippets from Shrivastava’s life and the memories he has left behind, woven with heartfelt tributes by and reminiscences of the stars. Many of these Bollywood and music industry stars had worked with Aadesh Shrivastava and shared a strong relationship with him. And on the occasion of his 52nd birth anniversary, an emotional Shrivastava family — his bereaved wife Vijayta and their sons Anivesh and Avitesh — will also share their memories of a loving husband and caring father.

Amitabh Bachchan said, “I first saw Aadesh Shrivastava in Laxmikant Pyarelal-ji’s orchestra. He was a talented musician; he had inclination towards knowledge of classical music. In Bollywood, you rarely get to see the perfect amalgamation of classical music, but he was one of those musicians who used to infuse his knowledge of classical music and latest trends in his creations.”

He had the perfect mix of bravery, compassion and quirkiness, which also used to reflect in his music.”

Music and Bollywood lovers should watch out for and catch the Tribute to Aadesh Shrivastava. It’s on across two days: on Rishtey Cineplex on Saturday, 3rd September, and on Colors on Sunday, 4th September, at 9 AM.
